USCIS Civics Questions & Answers
All 128 questions from the 2025 USCIS naturalization test, organized by category.
The USCIS civics test is part of the naturalization interview for U.S. citizenship. During your interview, a USCIS officer will ask you up to 10 civics questions from the official list of 128 questions. You must answer at least 6 correctly to pass.
The questions cover three areas: how the American government works, key events in American history, and basic facts about U.S. geography, symbols, and holidays. The test was updated in October 2025 and expanded from 100 to 128 questions.
Below you will find every question organized by category. Each answer lists all responses that USCIS considers acceptable, you only need to give one correct answer during the interview.
